There was talk today that I heard and it made me sit back and think, so tonight is to just jot down a few lines to raise this awareness if you believe
DNA, your DNA , your bodies signature and unique just to you. We see advertisements now saying that if you give us a sample of your DNA, we can match a car too you or find your ancestors……, but what happens when you give your DNA to them? I have heard that when you give it to another as in a business, it becomes there property so you could say that they own you. I have not followed this up for its truth as I have not willingly given anyone a sample to find or match anything nor shall I unless I have read all the fine print etc to fully understand what is involved.
The big world of WWW, World Wide Web/Internet, how much data is kept whilst we search and do business on the WWW and in fact, on our smart phones as well. I listened to some podcasts on such WWW applications like Google and Facebook about how much of our interaction on the WWW is kept and used for information gathering and also passed onto to other companies for marketing/research. A documentary called ‘The Creepy Line’, which I have not watched as yet, is all about this type of stuff so whether true of false it does raise some questions. As an example, how many times have you done a search in Google and then found it as advertisement in Facebook?
Smart phones is another one that does the same, even when you have the phone turned off, it can still record data and download it when turned back on, again, whether this is true or false, have to research it but it does not surprise me
So in conclusion, as we become more and more WWW/Internet based even to turn on lights and have our house hooked up with this WWW style, Siri/Google etc, we may give away our existence and not be aware of it. Have you seen the movie ‘Enemy of the State’ with Gene Hackman and Will Smith
