Water, (based on Australia), if you sit back and think about it, water is one of the most precious resources on Earth, I am only talking fresh water and not salt water at this stage, just about every living thing requires it to survive
Other than the early indigenous communities, how do we humans look after this precious resource, we/most don’t. We dump run off from roads, industry and we place down own storm drains and sinks etc, it just flows into creeks, rivers and finally into the sea. We can dump it because it’s gone and don’t know where it goes, we are taught/shown/follow our elders/don’t know/don’t care.
The introduction of tap water coming from the wall in a house or a toilet system, turn it on or flush it, water runs out and its never ending, I can leave the tap on and come back 2 hours latter with it still going or flush out a thousand times a day, never ending but ion it stops, complain when it stops
I really hate advancement of society because we don’t know or appreciate resources such as water dependant on your up bringing, you are either taught about or not on wastage/overuse
I remember we used to run a bath and all 4 kids used the same water, me been the youngest and dirtiest had it last but as a kid and even looking back on it, I am good with that. We didn’t wash clothes everyday as my school clothes changed into my playing clothes when got home from school and they were not washed until end of week, not every day.
I could go on and on with how I was brought up, I can say that I didn’t understand water at a younger age, only what I was taught and as I got older, learnt how precious water is and learnt how to respect it
From this point, have a think, look around the environment, within yourself, how does water play a part in you and the big picture, not just your own back yard, humans, animals, insects etc, we are all connected to water
Sea water, well if you took in what I spoke about above, you know that creeks, rivers all run into the sea. I would assume you have been to a beach where you see the big pipes running off the beach, what do you think comes out of them?
Now I have said all that, how does water play a part in our health, you may or may not know that the body is made up of around 70% water, it is required to transfer the good stuff between cells etc, you may have heard of osmosis. This is plain and good water, not tea, coffee, sports drinks, or any other type of flavoured water, this is just plain and simple water. The best is rain water and not water added with fluoride etc, no additives at all
If you live in the country, you have rain water tanks, as far as I know, no fluoride etc is added to them and the farmers are all healthy based on their work load, milk also but that is in another blog. I myself lived on farms and my own place up north which I just had rain water tanks, no micro filters on the lines and even drunk out of my dam and good creeks. Mind you, I did have my tank pickups at least 200mm from the bottom so I would not get any sediment, but still picked out the odd dead frog or snake out the tank and I am all good and healthy.
To get fresh rain water from a city perspective, I can only assume that pollution in the air would be captured on a roof and the run off into a tank would be polluted, but I am not sure if you say reversed an umbrella when it rained and captured it directly from the rain that it would be pure. If you look at most country areas, at this stage I assume they do not suffer the pollution problem as cities
Plastic bottled water, I have seen a few things on what is contained in plastic bottled water and my understanding of it all, plastic bottled water is just a convenience, a feel good type off thing, you have to make up your own mind on that. Me, stainless steel container with fresh rain water, no plastic waste and I know what it contains
From something I found on the net and what I understood from my school years in how rain happens:
Rain is droplets off water that fall from the clouds. Heat from the Sun turns moisture (water) from plants and leaves as well as oceans, lakes and rivers, into water vapour (gas), which disappears into the air. The vapour rises, cools, and changes into tiny water droplets, which form clouds. The water droplets in the clouds join together to form bigger drops. When the droplets get too heavy, they fall as rain. The picture we drew at school surmised mainly the plant life along the coast, do tour own research on our coastlines and rivers these days, what’s missing???
There you go, my thoughts in how I see water, you make up your own mind up but when you go to do it, open up your view up and not what is in from of you, as the saying goes, you can’t see the forest for the trees so en-capture all, even what you don’t today believe in
When I talk and show people about open up your view, I have them not looking, OI have a table and I place some very small indiscriminate things on a table and a drink can, 9 times out of 10, what they only see is the drink can
A moto: SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE IS BASED ON WHAT IS KNOWN FROM A HUMAN PERSPECTIVE, NATURE IS BETTER AT DETERMINING A COMING EVENT, YOU JUST HAVE TO UNDERSTAND AND LISTEN TO NATURE
To help Nature, just place a saucer/container of water outside for what ever insect, animal etc, they need it just as much as you do. If you can, try and set it up so if you go away, the water is there for them, it may only take a tap timer to open the valve each day to top up or a neighbour, it’s not hard when you look at it. Food is good but as long as you don’t get nature to rely on it and change there ways to a human, (always rely on it)
Did you know as I understand, in that a lot of our DNA is associated with other living things such as plants etc, we are all connected. Don’t take my word for it, do some research and remember that on the net you will find 10 good things and 10 bad things for every query, you have to open your eyes and heart to sort out the good from the bad, it can be mind blowing to sort it out but go back to the basics and pretty much you can’t go wrong, its amazing when you actually understand and learn
