From my first look, irrespective on what I may find out, my own personal view is nature (Earth) is the loosing participant in this review because it has a lot of people supporting its survival but little money to make am impact in the world of business, in other words, money talks. The river system runs from up north down to the south so if depending on what allocation is given from the start will determine what is left at the end and it all revolves around money not nature
Look for yourself on river systems in your own country and how they are rivers are used for both profit and a dumping ground from factories etc
The one thing to take away from this is water is a priority and basic requirement for all creatures:
NO WATER, NO LIFE
POISONED WATER, POISONED LIFE
